Notepad Sketches: Exercise on People Watching #2 and suddenly a Horse

These sketches/drawings were made at a Starbucks on Davie St., Vancouver. This particular Starbucks is great for people watching: large windows facing a busy intersection. One of the sketches is a horse. Oddly enough, this is a location where time to time, if you’re lucky, you can see the Mounted Squad (police), probably going to Stanley Park.

Enjoy.

2013 on and on

photo-6

It’s been over a year since I last posted here. A year without new blog updates sounds so long that for a brief moment I considered starting a new blog. I’ve done that before, it sounds easy and, really, it’s not 1996 and only few people keep visiting blogs. However, it is exactly because the three reasons I just gave you that I reconsidered and decided to keep this blog and —insert epic tone here—made it better and more consistent than EVER!

So, I won’t get lengthy here describing the amazing things and incredible battles I’ll win with this blog. I might not win anything and might nothing be incredible, but one thing is for sure: I’m making consciously deciding to make this blog consistent.

Summer Vacation. A multi-painting display

9 paintings were prepared for display at the Interior Design Show West 2012. All of them are watercolors and include the Digital trend palette I used to design my booth at the show. Here you can see 4 of the works. To check the full nine, please go to my website: http://danielatovar.com/83212/1331850/gallery/summer-vacation-watercolor-multi-painting
